Charity Fund Matching

Do you or any of your friends/relatives work for a large company that offers charity fund matching as an employee benefit?

Charity fund matching is a way that large companies can contribute to the charitable causes close to the heart of their
individual employees.  Tadworth Primary School PTA is a registered charity and, as such, qualifies as a worthy cause under the rules of such schemes. Any funds we can raise are greatly appreciated.

Although rules differ between companies, the general premise is that they will match up to a certain amount of funds raised per year. For example, Legal and General will match up to £750 raised by an employee on behalf of a charity in a year.  That person has to have raised the funds directly or be involved in the fundraising event on the day.  We were very lucky to have so many people help with the Spring Fair this year which raised well over £1000.  If any of the people who helped were able to apply for fund matching, the amount raised would increase significantly.  If you’re not sure whether your employer offers fund
matching then please check your employee benefits and/or speak to HR.

If your employer offers fund matching and you would be willing to help, please fill in the slip below and return it to Mrs Marshall on the school reception.  If there are a number of people working for a particular company (e.g. Legal and General) then we will arrange to co-ordinate any applications for funds. Alternatively, you can email the PTA directly: tadworthpta@gmail.com
Very many thanks for your support.
